You know you’re not the next Martha when …

…before your husband leaves on a trip he fills the fridge and stocks the freezer with casseroles. If I’m lucky he’ll leave me a little stash of cash and some take-out menus too. We don’t want the children to get scurvy now, do we?

      Don’t you know it, girlfriend! The trick is to get’em young, while they’re still “train-able.”

    Are you freakin’ kidding me? He did that? I shouldn’t even talk to you. You’d think for my complete ineptitude in the kitchen, I’d have married a culinary wiz. Instead, I married an over-worked CEO. My bad. 🙂

  3. My hubby has NEVER left me ANYTHING to help when he goes away for a conference or whatever. Yet, when I go away, I spend hours prepping, shopping, cleaning – making sure that everything is in order for him and the kids. I think I’m stopping that practice! Good for the goose, good for the gander, and all that…

      Yes, I know lots of women who do what you do Lisa (including my own mother who has to travel constantly for work). I always think it’s a bit mad, that’s why I laughed so hard at my husband doing it for me!
